The Origin Story
Blame the
Yankees.
October 24th, 1996. Game 5 of the World Series — Braves vs. Yankees. Andy Pettitte pitched 8 shutout innings, and Ricky’s mom threw open the front door and shouted to the entire neighborhood. He had never seen anyone so excited. Right then and there, he knew: he wanted to be Andy Pettitte.
Genetics had other plans...
Several years and unattained growth spurts later, in what was purely an existential panic move, he did the only thing he could think of — he became an actor.
